If we can see a face that we believe and trust, that reassures our brain.
Ivan Weiss – Why you need to hire a professional headshot photographer
How do pictures fuse your message together? 🎭
“There’s a great deal of your individual personality in your brand.
If you are successful because you have a somewhat 40 standoffish ‘I’m the authority on’ kind of approach it wouldn’t make sense for you to have a very welcoming smile in your headshot.
The two things don’t match up. ☯️
I can’t stress enough that your headshot by itself isn’t going to do anything for you, your headshot is going to be one piece of all of your marketing strategy.
So, if in your copy on your website you say, ‘I’m the tough go-getting lawyer who’s going to break the case for you’, but you look soft, or smiley, it doesn’t really convey the same
image.
You’ve got a mismatch there.
What you want is to have all of your copy, your picture, and the design and layout of your website to support the same message.” 👈
You should definitely choose a photographer whose previous work you like.

How do pictures build trust? 🤨
“🤖 We are all aware of AI, things that are fictional, where people invent a persona to represent the brand.
Those things happen. We’re aware of that. It’s as it’s a lurking suspicion, when we think, ‘Who’s behind this? Who am I actually dealing with?’
We may not arrive at that thought consciously, but it’s always there.
When we’re required to perform a task that requires us to trust in something, the deepest part of our brain says, Who am I trusting? What do they look like? 🤔
If we can see a face that we trust, that reassures that part of our brain that what we’re doing makes sense.
It supports the credibility of the rest of the messaging.” 👈
