Bev Kaye – What business development channels generate the best leads
Staying relevant
“Right now, there’s a lot of discussion on upskilling and rescaling. And all of that is part and parcel of career development and engagement.
I think people who specialise in training and development have to be one step ahead, caught up on what’s happening out there, and have to be up to date.
And relevant, really, really relevant.”
Whenever I’ve gone into organisations, it’s always been a learning curve, to learn the lingo.

Licence out or sell your business
“I really had two businesses, one that I did for most of those 40 years, where I built a big business.
I had a big team. And that comes with a good number of headaches, sleepless nights, and payroll. 🤯
I realised that I had had enough of that.
So I’m now really licencing other people to deliver all that training and saying ‘here it is, go for it’.
Downsizing to a small training company
I’m a solopreneur again and have just a few people now in my team.
It put me in a full year of depression when I let go of the big business. My entity was my identity, and it was harder than I thought to let go.
❤️️ But once I did, well, I love being small again. I really do. Because I can play with different people and different things.
I think when you run a larger size business, you give up a lot of who you are to make it work. So, I’m having fun.”
